Our Lunan pattern was inspired by walks along the beautiful, unspoilt beach at Lunan Bay, a little up the coast from our base here in Dundee. Beachcombing along the tideline looking at all the exciting bits and pieces the waves have left behind is a favourite activity! The shapes in our pattern come from the strands of seaweed dried out on the shore.
Our wraps are warm, soft and 100% lambswool apart from the little added sparkle! Perfect for keeping you warm, and more importantly glamorous outside on a Summer evening, or inside at a drafty event! They measure 250cm long by 55cm wide.

All our products are knitted on a hand-powered machine and embellished by hand in our tiny studio located in the heart of beautiful Tayside, Scotland.
Solasonach is based in a small studio in Dundee. Run by Jen McAlinden, a graduate in textile design from Duncan of Jordanston College of Art and Design here in Dundee.
Solasonach combines traditional knitting techniques, dyeing techniques and embellishments to produce luxury pieces. Inspired by the local Scottish coasts, and trips abroad to produce creative and distinctive designs.
We work mainly in lambswool, but add in silk mohair, merino and lurex.
